NLP Practitioner Training
NLP Practitioner Training(certified)
'What was the best thing about the workshop?'
The method by which Jessica teaches the new techniques really worked for me – Jessica effectively uses story-telling to put the technique into context, she then walks through how the technique works, the delegates then get the chance to practice this as a recipient of the technique and then we reflect upon the technique.
'How did you know you had learnt something?'
I knew I had learnt something because I could already find situations in my own coaching practice where I can use it. Having practiced the coaching techniques myself, I suddenly saw opportunities to put this into practice with own coachees.
'What felt different in regard to what's stopping you?'
I really felt I owned the action and achievement – the achievement was mine and I controlled it. The discovery I went through made me realise how easy it is to see “a problem” as one that has shared responsibility when in fact it is “my” problem and one that I can solve. Isn’t it so easy to use blame to defer responsibility?!
NLP Practitioner is your initial level of NLP training, once you have completed it, you will want to become a master practitioner. The techniques help you to see what people are really saying and therefore it is easier to help them to make the changes they want (and that you want too!)
The great thing about the training is that it is will give you both a set of tools and a personal experience of change. The tools and techniques of NLP Practitioner training are designed to compliment other therapeutic practices like coaching of any sort and counselling; the training course will also give you, personally a chance to experience change and to have access and understanding of how NLP can help you to get the life you want.
Becoming a certified NLP Practitioner requires that participants meet the certification criteria defined by the licensing organisation. In the case of the Society of NLP, there criteria can be seen here:
You will achieve these required standards by practicing the NLP Practitioner techniques and being open to experiencing the process of change for yourself. These skills will be assessed during the course and with a fun assessment day when you will learn a whole lot more by reflecting on your own performance and that of your colleagues.
NLP uses techniques but, fundamentally, when working with others, the Presuppositions of NLP underlie our behaviour. Of course these kinds of attitudes are brought into the training in ways other than explicitly through the techniques; it is therefore essential to understand and to live out these presuppositions in order to gain the certification. For a list of these presuppositions, here is an other handy link:
